Riinvest Institute and the “Vienna Institute for International Economic Studies (wiiw)”, will sign a “Memorandum for Strategic Cooperation”, today at Riinvest Institute, starting from 17:00. With this memorandum for strategic cooperation, both institutions aim to develop a strategic partnership in the benefit of increasing capacity for quality research of economic development in Kosovo, and in international projects. The “Vienna Institute for International Economic Studies (wiiw)” is one of the most prestigious institutions for economic studies in Europe.
On this occasion, Deputy Director of “Vienna Institute for International Economic Studies (wiiw)”, will lecture on the topic: “Short-term and long-term economic developments in Southeastern Europe”. The lecture will be held at Riinvest Institute’s library.
A short biograpfhy of Mr. Holzner.
Mario Holzner is Deputy Director of the Vienna Institute for International Economic Studies - WIIW and coordinator of the WIIW country analysis team. His research focuses on macroeconomic analysis, financial markets and income distribution and inequality. He coordinated a large research network within the Global Development Network Southeast Europe and has recently worked on issues of competitiveness of Western Balkan countries as well as short-term and long-term effects of infrastructure developments in the SEE region. Mario Holzner is also a lecturer in applied econometrics at the University of Vienna, Department of Economics. He obtained his PhD at the Vienna University of Economics and Business in 2005.
