The project was implemented by Regional Environmental Center and Riinvest Institute. The overall objective of the action was to support employment generation; business and economic development; and, increase potential and competitiveness of businesses and development agents in North Kosovo in order to improve future perspective, job security and thus increase living standards for the citizens of that area. Riinvest team was responsible for organizing a survey with 125 businesses in the four Northern municipalities, conducting secondary research and writing a detailed report on the Economic Potentials in the North of Kosovo. Furthermore, Riinvest organized capacity building trainings for 30 businesses, and 15 public officials and Civil Society Organizations. Following the capacity building trainings and the results of the baseline study, both partners organized a 3 day training event for both the private and public sector. A total of 45 participants were gathered for a workshop whose main objective was to assess the baseline study results; establish the vision of the locality; identify priority areas; develop a project pipeline; and compile the Development Strategy.
