"Ekonomia e Kosovës" published

On the occasion of marking the 23 anniversary of Riinvest Institute, Riinvest published the book “Ekonomia e Kosovës (Kosovo’s Economy)”. “Ekonomia e Kosovës”, is organized in 14 chapters, and is written by experts of their respective fields. The book is edited by Muhamet Mustafa, one of the founders of Riinvest Institute.

In his opening speech, Executive Director of Riinvest Institute Alban Hashani, also one of the co-authors of the book, used the opportunity to express his gratitude to all the supporters, partners and associates of Riinvest Institute during its 23 year journey, saying that thanks to their cooperation, Riinvest Institute is now a reference address for all the scholars and policy makers of socio-economic issues.

Further, Mr. Hashani added that on the occasion of marking Riinvest’s 23 anniversary, and having in mind the fact that we don’t have enough literature of the country’s economy, we have decided to publish the book “Ekonomia e Kosoves (Kosovo’s Economy)”. Hashani stated that the book is dedicated to all the students and policy-makers of the country. The book doesn’t cover all the topics added Hashani, but it will be very beneficial for the broad audience, and will be updated in the next editions.

Meanwhile, the professor and Dean of Economic Faculty of the University of Prishtina Mr. But Dedaj, congratulated Riinvest on marking its 23 anniversary and for publishing the book.

Mr. Dedaj declared that this book is of special importance for the students and scholars, since it studies the country’s economy through 14 chapters explained through theoretical and practical examples, from the 14 of the country’s best economists, and as such is the first in Kosovo.

Mr. Muhamet Mustafa, editor of the book and one of the founders of Riinvest Institute, thanked the 12 authors of the book, and all of the co-founders and associates of Riinvest Institute. According to Mr. Mustafa, promotion of modern economic though, and economic modern development of Kosovo based on the philosophy of entrepreneurship, is Riinvest’s mission and will remain so.

“During our work with the students, we have noticed that students have difficulties comprehending the core of the economic concepts, if they are not illustrated with examples, therefore our goal was to make the learning process an easier and more attractive process for the students” declared Mr. Mustafa. Also, according to him, through this book, Riinvest authors wanted that policy makers, to expand their knowledge on Kosovo’s economy, and thus they expect the book to be very beneficial to them. Another point that triggered the publishing of this book according to Mr. Mustafa, is Riinvest’s goal to raise the level of debate in economy, since according to him the debate on economy is dominated by political discourse.

The authors of the book are: Alban Zogaj, Lumir Abdixhiku, Muhamet Mustafa, Alban Hashani, Petrit Gashi, Arben Mustafa, Sokol Havolli, Artane Rizvanolli, Valentin Toçi, Besnik Krasniqi, Venera Demukaj, dhe Fisnik Reçica.
